Dialogue and narration are produced for games and interactive media in fundamentally different ways than for linear media like audio books, podcasts, or film.

![]() Bonnie has her fingers in a plethora of game and audio pies! As a sounddesigner, she has spent over a decade designing audio on a variety of award-winning educational products, virtual and augmented reality simulations, interactive experiences, and theme park attractions.
When not designing audio, she is also active as a voice actor, not just in games and education, but also the audio drama/radio drama and interactive audio fiction scene, and has been involved in three projects so far to be featured at the HEAR NOW Audio Fiction NATF showcase (Cryptic Canticles presents “The Dracula Radioplay Experience,” “The Call of the Flame,” and Codename Blank). A self-proclaimed “choir junkie”, she regularly performs with a variety of operatic, choral, and musical ensembles, which led her to co-creating and producing the original productions “Evenings in Quarantine: The Zombie Opera“, and the MAGfest and VGM scene touring series “Super Smash Opera“ it’s sequel “Aria Kart” and is a frequent arranger and vocalist for a plethora of video game tribute albums by record label The Materia Collective. And… on top of it all… she loves puppetry (see “the Bwak Choir” for one of the latest examples of her exploits). Bonnie has served on the boards and committees for a variety of organizations including the Great Lake Film Association, Parsec, Pittsburgh Savoyards, Game Audio Network Guild, Interactive Audio Special Interest Group, and the IGDA Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality SIG. She has been a video game judge for Spillprisen, IGF, and Indiecade, an animation and script judge forGLFA, IGDA Boardgames Competition, and audio/sound text book proposal reviewer for Focal Press. She is an active, panelist, presenter, and mentor at variety of events including but not limited to AES, MAGfest, GameSoundCon, Confluence, and GDC. She has lectured at Berklee School of Music, Duquesne University, Teknofonic, and has been an adjunct professor teaching audio games and animation at the Art Institute of Austin. A Pittsburgh Native, now celebrating her 3rd year of living in Austin, where she works under her LLC “BlackCatBonifide”. Neil has acted with The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Trinity Repertory Company, Aquila Theatre Company, and others, performing Shakespeare and contemporary texts nationally and internationally. He came to audiobook narration through a strong dedication to storytelling and a cripplingly voracious reading habit. He has produced titles with Tantor Audio, Blackstone Audio, Deyan Audio, Audible Studios, Listen2ABook, and others. Neil has taught Shakespeare and acting technique at the University of Pennsylvania, the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, West Point Military Academy, the New York City Student Shakespeare Festival, and elsewhere. His TV and Film credits include UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT, GOTHAM, THE BLACKLIST, BLUE BLOODS, YOUNG ADULT, REACHING FOR THE MOON, and others. Neil has an MFA from Trinity Rep Conservatory and is a proud member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA.

![]() HEAR Now Festival Director Larry the O has worked on many sides of the audio industry, including audio post-production for TV and film, album recording, video games, technical and marketing positions for leading audio hardware manufacturers, software product management, live sound, publishing, and industrial sound design. His production credits range from Errol Morris’ “The Thin Blue Line” to the Gumby TV series, and numerous games from LucasArts Entertainment and Electronic Arts, but the O also has been a leading writer on audio and music technology for nearly 35 years, including as a contributing editor to Mix and Electronic Musician magazines, a monthly columnist for the British Sound on Sound magazine, and the author of two instructional books on music software published by Hal Leonard. The O was awarded a degree in Music Production, Summa Cum Laude, from Berklee College of Music and presented Berklee’s Distinguished Alumni Award. Since 2009, he has operated out of his Studio Faire la Nouba facility in Vallejo, California. The O’s production company, Toys In the Attic, currently produces Ears Hear Now, a show that applies a cinematic scoring approach to storytelling. The show’s first two episodes were Platinum Selections at the 2017 and 2019 HEAR Now Festivals.
![]() Award-winning actor, voice talent and coach, Carol was trained at New York City's American Academy of Dramatic Arts and holds a Fine Arts degree in Drama from Catholic University. She has worked at theatres such as Arena Stage, The Kennedy Center, Ford’s Theatre and Manhattan Theatre Club.
Her voice-over clients include ID Discovery, McDonald's, HSBC, The Guggenheim, UPIC, Tena, NY Historical Society, the AFL-CIO, CitiCorp, WNET, NYC-Arts and the Toronto, Detroit, Portland Milwaukee and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestras. Carol has been the voice of the Turner Classic Film Festival since its inception in 2010. She has narrated over 450 audiobook titles in 17 genres for Audible, Blackstone, Blunderwoman, Brilliance, Deyan, Hachette, Harper, Highbridge, Macmillan, Metabook, Penguin Random House and Recorded Books, and her work has garnered Audie and Earphones Awards, Years' Best mentions and Audie nominations. Carol also coaches VO and audiobook narration. She has served as an adjunct professor of Commercial VO and Narration at NYU's Digital Design and Film School and at Tisch School of the Arts in Voice and Speech. She was also a drama teacher at Professional Performing Arts School in NYC. She has instructed and paneled at VO Atlanta, VO Mastery, the NE Narrator Retreat, APAC and countless workshops. Currently, she directs and teaches at Edge Studio, The Voice Shop, Global Voice Acting Academy, and has a robust private coaching practice.
