The 2018 HEAR Now Festival will begin to accept auditions from narrators wishing to participate in this June's program beginning on 2/1/2018.
Mark Twain Narrators Wanted
Performance Scholarship Available
HEAR Now will once again be presenting A Celebration of Mark Twain! as part of this year's Festival.
Each night, beginning on Thursday, June 7th, from 5:00pm-6:15pm, volunteer narrators will read selections from Mark Twain at Prospero's Books in their 2nd floor reader's room. Up to 4 narrators will be selected for each performance which will again be MC'd nightly by Bob Kaliban for HEAR Now.
Located at 1800 West 39th Street, Prospero's is one mile from the Festival's primary hotel the Holiday Inn Country Club Plaza.
2018's A Celebration of Mark Twain! will also include free refreshments nightly for all audience guests and Mark Twain narrators.

The Kraus Performance Scholarship For A 2018 Mark Twain Narrator
Also returning to HEAR Now's 2017 A Celebration of Mark Twain! is The Kraus Performance Scholarship which will give one Mark Twain narrator a 2018 ALL ACCESS FESTIVAL PASS* to the Festival along with mentor sessions with this year's featured guest narrator to be announced on 2/1/2018.
TO NARRATE:
To participate in A Celebration of Mark Twain! only send:
* your name,
* an MP3 sample of up to 3 minutes of your narration from a recently released book (within the last 2 years), and
* your suggestion of what you would like to read from Mark Twain.
2018 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION:
If you would also like to be considered for the Kraus Performance Scholarship please include:
* Resume detailing your work as a narrator and other performance work you have done on stage, film, TV, etc. Additional samples of your work may be requested.
* List three things you would like to improve about your audio performance skills
DEADLINE: Friday, April 20, 2018 at 5:00pm DST
