Vist VR Musuem Château d'Art Futur
A third VR presentation, created by students from New York University's Future Reality: Trends and Impact of New Media class is a VR museum called "Château d'Art Futur" -- a beautifully rendered, 19th-Century French château that includes a labyrinth garden with compelling vistas of forests and mountains. The viewer dons an Oculus Rift VR headset and is transported to the château's museum's grounds, where a 360 look-around of the landscape unfolds. During the experience, the attending guide will encourage the viewer to explore the exterior surroundings and then go through the door of Château d'Art Futur -- to walk inside the VR museum. NYU students have class projects, which are housed in the interior hallways and inside gallery rooms, tailor-made for each student's creative endeavors. The VR participant experiences the artworks as if they were in a real museum. There will be digital paintings, sculptures, innovative new media art installations with music, immersive 360-short films, podcasts, and a motion-captured dancer who reacts to the song and words of a memory poem being spoken -- and more. Château d'Art Futur is a VR experience of original artwork, unlike any other virtual reality museum.
